Kate Rusby

Since her album Sleepless won an award at the 1999 Mercury Music Prize as one of the 12 best British albums of the year, Kate has continued to make a sensational impact taking accoustic music to new realms of popularity. Little Lights, her third album consolidates her position as ‘one of the top ten folk voices of the century’.

John McCusker

Joining her in the trio are John McCusker and Andy Cutting. John is one of Scotland’s foremost traditional musicians. He toured the world for 11 years with The Battlefield Band, an amazing performer, composer and producer. Andy is a wizard on the Diatonic accordion and his sensitive accompaniments on Kate’s albums have added a wonderful breadth to the recordings

Michael McGoldrick

Born in Manchester to Irish parents, Michael has been living and breathing traditional music since he was knee high to a pint of Guinness. Playing with bands such as Toss The Feathers, Flook, Lunasa, Capercaillie, his innovative flute and uillean piping style has been taking the trad and crossover world by storm.

Michael will be joined by the renowned and talented Ed Boyd on guitar and John Joe Kelly on bodhran.

Archie McAllister

From Campbeltown, Archie is a highly respected fiddler who plys with many well known bands, Alasdair MacCuish’s Black Rose Ceilidh Band and The Last Tram Tae Auchenshuggle to name but two. Archie’s energetic fiddle playing leads The Kinloch Ceilidh Band and joined by his brother Alex, Danny Moran and Stuart Casey on drums, Friday night should indeed be lively.

Fine Friday

One of Scotland’s top traditional trios, Fine Friday are Anna Wendy Stevenson, Kris Drever and Nuala Kennedy. The band emerged from a weekly session at Sandy Bell’s, Edinburgh’s most famous folk pub and have successfully transferred the relaxed and informal style of three friends playing in a session to the more professional setting of a gig.

Anna Massie, who hails from Fortrose and plays fiddle, guitar and mandolin will be joined by Mairearad Green on accordion and pipes (Highland and Small) and Jen Butterworth on guitar, fiddle and vocals.
